For this project, I produced an audio interview package recorded using the Dolby app and mixed in Adobe Audition. The brief required a 20-second introduction with copyright-free music, four interview questions, and at least four original sound effects including an atmos track.
As this was my first time working in Adobe Audition, it was a steep but rewarding learning curve. I enjoyed diving into waveform editing, identifying and removing clicks, pops, and background noise, and shaping the atmosphere with carefully chosen intro music.
The biggest challenge was condensing five minutes of raw interview audio down to the exact 2:30 without losing flow or emotional clarity. To achieve this, I focused on tightening responses, removing redundancies, and keeping only the strongest, cleanest moments that carried the narrative. This process strengthened my editorial judgment and helped me better understand pacing and rhythm in audio storytelling.
Overall, this project gave me hands-on experience with audio mixing, track layering, and exporting to technical specifications skills I’m excited to keep developing.
